Reading Lamott’s article, “Shitty First Drafts”, made me realize a good writer does not always have to have an extra ordinary imagination or writing skills, but more importantly he must have the will and patience to complete his writing, no matter how many shitty drafts he makes. Every writer gets mind blocks, a period where he/she is unable to write anything worth reading. Although, the success of a writer depends on whether he/she takes that period of time as a cue to give up or to work harder.
