Mandatory Blog Thing Again

Posted on November 7, 2017

Another day, another blog. What else is new? The answer to that is my horrible sleep schedule. Well, not really new, but it’s been happening since the beginning of October. Since then, I’ve been averaging about 2-4 hours of sleep per night. Why? No reason at all. Well, my reasoning is that I have to stay up to finish homework for the next day, so I have no other choice but to stay up and finish it. However, it is actually my fault that this is happening. This is happening because I fool around with most of my free time during the day. Instead of finishing assignments and getting them over with, I might end up just staying inside my dorm and just play video games on my laptop. I also might instead end up going to the Rec Center and play basketball for 3-4 hours instead. Why do I do this? I don’t know, so leave me alone. Maybe something’s wrong with me. If there is, then too bad. If you wanna fight, bring it on.

Something else that’s new is my new 24-pack of water that I bought this weekend. It’s nice because water is nice. Water is nice because you can drink it. Water is nice because helps keep me hydrated. Water is nice because it helps keep me alive. Water is nice because it helps keep you clean. Water is nice because you can freeze it and use it to make your regular water colder. Water is nice because you can turn it into steam to power steam engines. Water is nice because it is a home to many fish, sharks, whales, etc. Water is nice because it falls from the sky for free. Water is nice because you can swim in it. Water is nice because it helps plants grow. Water is nice because if all water was to disappear, you’d shrivel up and die because half of your body is made up of water. Water is nice because it is nice. That’s why water is nice. That’s also why I bought a 24-pack of water, so I can put it in the corner and admire it all day instead of finishing my assignments early.

Well you see, I don’t seem to know what your strong motive to play basketball but I can relate to you when it comes to playing video games. Although I can’t relate when you say you wanna spend all your free time playing, if you have so much free time you can try to find a job, and being that you leave it to last minute is kind of pointless since you waste your actual time in games. Think of it this way, what do you gain from games, Fun? what else, nothing right? You can play games but the reason you came to college is to study and become someone in the world rather than doing nothing back home. I understand that studying and doing work early isn’t always a priority but if you missing sleep, you aren’t retaining any information in the lectures or classes making it pointless for you to even go. Learn to prioritize your work over your hobbies, that is if you want to be at a better standing at school.

I found this blog post pretty funny. I liked the irony in the end; you buying the water to still not end up doing your homework. Don’t worry though I’m on the same boat. I procrastinate for hours and hours; surprised I’m not doing this comment before class. Things will get better if you actually want to change things; lately I’ve been trying to manage my time. Hope you do the same.

Kaelan, I think everyone sleeping schedule is messed up. I’m averaging the same amount of sleep as you, but the only difference is that I preferred to take naps than going to the gym for 3-4 hours. This is college and we have to deal it. By the way, I want to fight (joking).
