In the passage “Shitty First Drafts” written by Lamott, I agree with his ideas because a first draft is only the beginning of the writing process. In order for a piece to be perfect, it takes time to construct and to think about the different words and phrases that should be used in the writing. A first draft is supposed to be ideas that the writer has incorporated but has not completely expanded on. Usually in my first drafts I tend to rush and include ideas that don’t make sense to meet the requirements so over time, my writing will start to take shape and evolve into a better piece.
